Application Uptime Status

This chart illustrates the total round-trip duration for web requests to the LifeRing application over HTTPS, tracing the journey from our monitoring server through the internet via Cloudflare (with cache bypassed) back to the origin server, all measured in milliseconds.

Times exceeding half a second are flagged as unsatisfactory and are highlighted in orange to draw attention to potential performance issues. Requests which timeout or do not respond correctly are shown in grey with a bar-height of one second.

Response Time Breakdown

  • Initial Connection and SSL/TLS Negotiation: approximately 50 ms.
  • DNS Lookups: when they occur, DNS lookups can take up to 120 ms.
  • Server Processing: our servers generally handle page requests with simple database queries within the range of 60 to 100 ms.
  • Network Factors: available network bandwidth, firewall rule checks, and network transit contribute to the remaining time.
